Stargazing Live 2014

posted 22 Apr 2014, 08:37 by Pete Collins
In January 2014 we held four Stargazing Live events which were aimed particularly at newcomers to astronomy. They were well attended, with up to 60 people of all ages. Many people saw the Moon and Jupiter through a telescope for the first time. We had talks on a variety of subjects including Navigating the night sky, Choosing binoculars, Choosing a telescope, Sunspots, Messier objects, the Chinese Moon mission, and the New supernova in the Cigar Galaxy M82. We gave out 200 Stargazing Live calendars.
